#92 is COMPLETE

aka I BOUGHT A CAR! But I refuse to give anymore information until someone else updates! Get on it, people!

goals in the works

Hi everyone -

I haven't actually completed any goals, but I have updates on a couple of them that are in the works. And I that putting new content up warrants making you all read about my mudane life. So here we go:

- My Goal #92 is to buy a car. When I wrote my list, I didn't think I'd be getting around to this goal this quickly, but the poor public transportation in North Carolina has shaken things up a bit. Today I found out that I do have parking at The World's Dumpiest Apartment, so all that remains is for me to actually go out and purchase a car. This goal should be completed within a month.

- My Goal #96 is to participate in a tea swap (where a bunch of people mail each other a bunch of different teas, so you can try many new teas without making the commitment that purchasing a box would entail). There is an international tea swap that's been organized on lj that I've participating in. I'm sending my tea to New Zealand. I'll consider this goal complete when I've actally mailed the tea, but it should be done within a week.

- My Goal #100 is to convince someone else to do 101-in-1001 (and to join this blog). Today, when I was emailing someone, I actually added a "p.s. you should do 101" and a link to the website. Kind of lame, but I just want you all to know I'm doing everything I can!

UPDATE

As it turns out, I'm too anemic to give blood right now. But I'm going to eat a WHOLE LOT of leafy greens and whatnot, and I'll be all over this goal next month.

#27 - Go to a play.
I can't remember when this was, but Rachana, Viky, and I went to a community theater production of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.


#47 - Complete my sociological theory summer reading.
I can't remember when I technically completed this goal, but I was done before the first week of classes at UNC. (FYI, my summer reading was Berger and Luckmann's The Social Construction of Reality and Benton and Craib's Philosophy of Social Science: Pretentious and Boring Subtitle Here) .

#82 - Make a photo screensaver.
Right now, all the photos on my screensaver are of Elizabeth and Tom's wedding. And since I like Elizabeth and Tom, but not so much that I want them on my screensaver all the time, I invite you all to send me AWESOME photos. This goal is accomplished lamely, but still accomplished.

#4 - Send 30 postcards.
I'm running out of people to send postcards to! If you want a postcard, email me your address!

#33 - Give blood.
I'm actually planning on doing this tomorrow, September 9th. Let's all hope that I have a high enough iron count so this goal can be completed.
