My dear goal-bloggers,

I need you to adjudicate the completion of a goal for me. Ostentibly, my goal #12 ("make and send 5 mix CDs") is complete. I sent 1 mix CD to Jess, 1 to Shalini, and 3 to Anjali. The goal doesn't specify the number of different people I need to send mix CDs to, but I'm not sure if I've fulfilled the spirit of the goal until I've sent CDs to five different people.

Thoughts anyone?

Also, Jess, I was watching the Star Wars films because R. and V. were watching them. Or at least that's my excuse...

1/4th done - # 38 - Suicide and Elementary Forms of the Religious Life

Dear Numerous Readers of We Have Goals,

I am currently 1/2 done with Elementary Forms of the Religious Life, which makes me 1/2 done with Goal 38, which is to have read Suicide and Elementary Forms, both of which are fluffy magazine articles on makeup and the state of Tom Cruise's marriage written by everyone's favorite celebrity gossip, Emile Durkheim. Or not - except for the Durkheim part. The reason I've made so much progress on this goal is because Elementary Forms was assigned for class. The entire book is due Monday. (Graduate school: where you read books in one sitting that probably weren't intended to be read in that manner). So I'm asking our vast readership to hope and pray for my reading mojo, because I'm going to need it to get the back half of Elementary Forms read.

In other news, I'd like to encourage our pal Tom to join We Have Goals. Because you seem like a kind of goal-oriented person, and this site could use someone else who actually updates somewhat frequently. And goals are good, clean fun for the entire family.
