Goal #1, Finally

#1 Write and defend my masters paper

Complete as of 3:00 this afternoon. Yay! The past couple months have been really busy for me, but I should be completing a few more of my academic goals really soon.

Also, I'd like to count #43 Make and drink my own soda. I made my own fig syrup, and used it to make an Italian soda. So I think this should count.

We Have Goals, RIP?

Does anyone visit this blog anymore? Just checking.

While I'm posting, I should note that I've completed a ridiculous number of goals since I last updated.

16) Eat ice cream on Division Street. (I went back to Division St, but the ice cream parlor is no longer there. I'm counting this goal as completed since I tried.)

17) Attend an academic conference.

30) Invest in a socially responsible stock.

39) Take a martial arts or self-defense class.

40) Brew tea from tea leaves.

51) Do my taxes by myself.

72) Paint my small table.

77) Hang a birdfeeder.

81) Send a package of gifts to the people I stayed with in Mumbai.

83) Make my own sushi.

91) Buy The Sims.

93) Buy art from the artist.

#37 Try a new baking recipe and perfect it

Here are my Rocky Road Bars. They are simple but quite a hit. I made them for the party Jess and I threw on Friday. Let me know if you're interested in the recipe.

Lots of goals, lots of fun!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am accomplishing-away here. Since the end of November I've accomplished five goals. These included making dinner for my grama (#1), visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art (#36), eating fondue and tapas (#'s 50 & 49), and buying a Christmas present for someone I don't know (#99). It's been fun and (ful)filling! For more details, check out my blog. Happy goal-completing everyone!

P.S.-With Jess' help, I am on my way to completing #19. We are having a Christmas/Holiday party on December 29. Come one, come all!

#20 Sand and stain my bookshelf

I took an unfinished bookshelf, and stained it green. I also decopaged the interior. Here it is!
