two goals completed!

Okay, so I haven't been much with the posting here in the last several weeks because I've been doing things like my finals and moving and travelling to India that were, sadly, not related to 101 in 1001. In the meantime, however, I have accomplished a couple goals.

#14 - Make a friend in NC who's not from my department
I have a new friend who is an anarchist anthropologist! I met her through some of my friends in the department.

#53 - Acquire a copy of Our Bodies, Ourselves
I bought this last Friday from the univ. bookstore because books were buy one, get one 50% off. The other book I bought was Mama Lola: A Voodoo Priestess in Brooklyn, which I think might be interesting for anyone interested in how Catholicism has become modified and mixed with indigenous religions.
